Dan’s “Too worried about too little and not really smart enough to do anything about it” mindset combined with his slim stature earned him the nickname “Featherweight Champion of Over-thinking!” It’s truthful and brilliant clean comedy that leaves a positive message and will keep you laughing for a lifetime.
Notable television appearances include Pure Flix Comedy All-Stars , Laughs on FOX , Showtime’s Homeland , USA Network’s Necessary Roughness , Lifetime TV’s Drop Dead Diva , The CW’s One Tree Hill , and starring roles on two Adultswim live action shows. He has also appeared in over 50 National TV Commercials and tours Comedy Clubs, Colleges, Cruise Ships, Corporate Events, and Theaters across the country and heard regularly on Sirius XM. His last name is pronounced “Men ghee nee”.
Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Dan also appeared in the feature film “42”. Directed by Academy Award ® winner Brian Helgeland (L.A. Confidential) and starring Harrison Ford, Christopher Meloni, & Chadwick Boseman. 42 tells the life story of Jackie Robinson and his history-making signing with the Brooklyn Dodgers under the guidance of team executive Branch Rickey.

Summit Comedy was formed many moons ago in 1998 by Chuck Johnson, current owner/President. Chuck Johnson entered the comedy business the day after graduating from Appalachian State University in 1995 where he booked all of the live music and comedy for the university’s club “Legends”. His first job post college?…..one of comedian Carrot Top’s college agents and booking agent for the comedy club chain The Comedy Zone.
His second job?…..well, in 1998 he formed Summit Comedy, Inc. and he and his team of amazing agents has turned it into one of the Nation’s Largest suppliers of Stand-up Comedy & Comedy Entertainment for all types of events including Colleges/Universities, Corporate Events, Country Clubs, Cruise ships, Clubs & beyond.
