When it comes to booking comedians, the easiest part is choosing the actual comic. Before you get to that part, however, a little research is in order. What kind of venue will the comedian be performing in? For example, a bar has a radically different atmosphere than a casino or a cruise ship.

A magician or a hypnotist may have more complex technical requirements than a stand-up comic. Finally, what kind of audience are you working with? Is it a conservative audience at a company event?
